Basketball Tasmania is the governing body for the sport and is tasked with fostering the ongoing growth and development of Basketball at all levels. A key region in this development is the North / North West, working within the regions and servicing a broad range of stakeholders, competitions, and competing demands, whilst building relationships and programs to ensure Basketball maximises the opportunities and interest in the game.
The Management & Operations roles will promote, develop, and coordinate basketball initiatives and activities in the Northern and North West regions of Tasmania with a view to ensuring current stakeholders and competitions receive the necessary support to continue their effective operation as well as implementing strategies to grow the sport and increase participation rates.
Basketball Tasmania is open to considering a variety of combinations of full or part-time staff to cover all activity. Salary and package will be negotiated with the successful applicants.

An exciting position is available within our team driving the coordination, development, implementation and management of communication and media strategies for Tasmanian Basketball. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across internal and external stakeholders to tell our story and drive engagement across all Basketball platforms.
We seek a broad skill base covering communication, all media, digital and content creation. We seek an energetic team player, with high level attention to detail and the ability to build and maintain relationships and communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.

Life Membership is the highest honour which can be bestowed by Basketball Tasmania for longstanding and valued service to Basketball in Tasmania. On the nomination of the Board, any individual may be elected as a Life Member at any AGM by Special Resolution
The BTAS Board has up to 6 elected directors and 3 appointed directors with nominations open to all CAMs and Members with elections held at the AGM each year.
Independant Commissions in each region provide operational and strategic support across competitions and regions.
