Variety 'Shoot for the Stars' Scholarship Program

Basketball Tasmania has launched an exciting new partnership with Variety – The Children’s Charity Tasmania to make the Future Development Program (FDP) and State Development Program (FDP) more financially accessible through the ‘Variety Shoot for the Stars Scholarship’.

The Scholarship will allow 17 athletes from all three regions to access meaningful and fulfilling support to participate in the FDP and SDP Programs.

Criteria for athlete applications includes eligible for ‘School Card’ or ‘Ticket to Play’ and does not qualify for other financial support from any third party.

The scholarships can be offered to cover the full, or part of, the registration cost for each successful applicant, subject to the family’s financial capacity. The scholarships can also be extended to cover other expenses such as uniform and travel to other regions for tournaments and championships.
