JACKJUMPERS TO FACE BULLETS IN 2021/22 HUNGRY JACK’S NBL SEASON OPENER

The Tasmania JackJumpers have a new opening round matchup for the 2021/22 Hungry Jack’s NBL Season after changes were made to the schedule.

Brisbane Bullets will travel south to take on Tasmania’s long-awaited NBL team on December 3 at MyState Bank Arena.

The NBL is navigating the ongoing and dynamic situation regarding State border restrictions, and the League has proactively updated the schedule to give fans the best chance of attending games.

Tasmania JackJumpers CEO Simon Brookhouse said “we’re excited to host the Bullets to tip off the 2021/22 Hungry Jack’s NBL season. The changes to the schedule are minor but positive for us.

“We always knew there could be changes to the original fixture. We’re pleased the NBL has got on the front foot in foreseeing possible challenges and give us the best chance to prepare and adjust to the changes.”

“I think it’s a nice synergy that we face the Bullets in our first ever NBL Preseason Blitz game this Sunday and then we’ll host them again for our first ever regular season game on December 3” Brookhouse said.

The season opener is among 21 games that have been adjusted across the League over the first 6 rounds of the 2021/22 Hungry Jack’s NBL season.

The Tasmania JackJumpers will now host Adelaide 36ers on December 9, while the Sydney Kings will travel south to MyState Bank Arena for a blockbuster on January 8.

“We’re fortunate that the dates, times and locations for our games haven’t changed, just the opposition. As a new team in the NBL, everything is new, so the schedule updates don’t have too much of an impact on our preparations” Brookhouse said.

Tasmania JackJumpers are also pleased to announce that individual game-day tickets to home matches in rounds 1-7 will go on presale to members on Monday 15th November before general public sales begin on Wednesday 17th November from 10am.

“These will be the hottest tickets in town! We’re looking forward to selling out our games with a strong and passionate home crowd. Our fans are integral to our success in our inaugural season, and we need all of Tasmania to get behind us” Brookhouse said.
